Produced by the legendary Nathan Chapman (the genius behind some of Taylor Swift's hits) and the talented Parker Welling, "First Rodeo" is set to steal hearts just as it did when it hit the airwaves on July 12.
Sarahbeth Taite has been capturing the essence of country music with her heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, and "First Rodeo" is no exception. This single is the third release from her upcoming EP, "The Way We Started," debuting on August 23. Fans have already fallen in love with her previous hits from the EP "Pretty Good Living" and "Diamond And A Baby."
In a heartfelt note about the song's creation, Sarahbeth shared, "I remember when Grant (Vogel) came in with this idea for a write with Scott Stepakoff and me. I was extremely pregnant and about two weeks away from having my daughter. We only got the first verse and chorus down, but we all knew it was going to be a special song. You know it’s a good one when you come back to it six months later, and you’re all still excited about it."
"First Rodeo" takes a clever spin on the phrase "this ain't my first rodeo" by flipping it around and asking, "What was your first rodeo, then?" Through this creative lens, Sarahbeth and her co-writers, Scott Stepakoff and Grant Vogel, take listeners on a journey back to their first love – the kind that felt like it would last forever. With a beautifully simple production, "First Rodeo" captures the universal experience of young love and heartbreak, painting a vivid and nostalgic picture of those unforgettable moments.
